Italy Visa & Entry Requirements – How to Apply for a Visa to Italy
The Italian government requires you to apply for Italian visa prior to traveling to the country. This includes people who are planning to enter via every port of entry, land borders, sea ports, airports, and even train stations. If you plan on entering Italy by air, it is recommended that you apply for a Schengen visa beforehand. You must complete the application process within 30 days of arriving in Italy.
If you do decide to apply for a visa application, here are some things you should know about applying for one.
1. What Are the Requirements for Italian Visa?
You must submit a passport valid for six months beyond the date you wish to travel to Italy. Your passport must contain at least 2 blank pages. In addition, you must provide proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in Italy.
2. When Do I Need to Submit My Application?
As a foreign citizen, you need to submit your application no later than 30 days before your arrival in Italy. However, if you have already booked your flight or made other arrangements, you can still apply up until two weeks before your departure date.
3. Can I Get an Emergency Travel Document(Italian visa)?
Yes, but only if there is an emergency situation. You may also request this document if you are unable to obtain a visa in time. The cost of this service is €100 per person.
4. What Happens After I Complete the Form for Italian visa?
Once you have completed the form for Italian visa, you will receive an email confirmation from the Italian embassy. It will then let you know if your application has been approved or not. If it has been approved, you will get a letter with further instructions on how to continue.
5. What Should I Know About Italian visa?
